Do I need pre-authorization from OneDegree for vet treatment?

No. You can take your pet to any registered vet in Hong Kong and claim eligible expenses. Please note the reimbursement rate is different for clinics in our network and those outside of our network. To ensure we can process your claim without delay, do remind your clinics to provide a receipt that includes: the symptom date, diagnosis (specify illness), expenses breakdown, and your pet’s name.

For all new policies that are issued from 1 December 2022, if the pet is between 13 weeks and 11 months old and visits a registered vet clinic in Hong Kong, regardless of whether the clinic is a network or non-network, the reimbursement rate is 50%.
