Why is the premium on the plan selection page different from what I paid?

When customers enter a discount code, our website will display both the original premium and the discounted premium. Upon proceeding to the payment page during the application process, the premium levy will be added, which may result in a slight difference in the premium displayed on the payment page. If the displayed amount appears incorrect, please double-check to ensure the correct promo code has been entered. Additionally, as we offer both annual and monthly payment options, customers who choose the annual payment method will enjoy a better premium rate (approximately 10%* lower compared to the total premium for monthly payments). By selecting the annual payment method, it eliminates platform handling fees and administrative charges. We pass these savings back to our customers, allowing them to benefit from a more affordable premium. For more information regarding the premium levy, you may refer to: What is the Insurance Authority (“IA”)? What is Premium levy and why do I need to pay a levy? *If annual payment customers cancel their policy early, a 10% administrative fee will be charged as per the policy terms.

Do I need to submit any documents for my premium refund for cancelling my policy?

Yes, it is mandatory to upload copies of your HKID through your OneDegree customer account before cancelling your Pet or Critical Illness policy. If you need to cancel your home insurance or fire insurance policy, you must complete the policy cancellation form and upload it to our online platform. We will contact you further regarding the policy cancellation and refund arrangements.

Do I need to prepare and submit any documents for pet insurance claim filing?

In the claims application, we require the customer to upload the clinic receipt and proof of full payment. The clinic receipt must include the following information: • Microchip number (if any) • Your pet's name • Charge breakdown • The diagnosis • First symptom date • Vet signature and stamp • Your pet's age (if any) We also need a histopathology report from your vet if you're filing a claim for the Cancer Cash Benefit. Please keep the original receipts until the claim is paid, as we may need them for verification purposes. We may also require you to provide your pet's medical records, including examination and diagnostic test reports, etc, from all previous visits to veterinarians.

How do I make a pet insurance claim?

You can start filing the pet insurance claim by: 1. Log in to your account: Login | OneDegree 2. Choose the related policy under “Your Policies.” 3. Click "File a Claim" to start making a claim To avoid claim denial due to delays, claims must be submitted within 30 days of the consultation or discharge date. For information on the required documents for claims, please see: Do I need to prepare and submit any documents for pet insurance claim filing?

What is Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) Additional Coverage?

The optional rider Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) Additional Coverage provides a maximum coverage of up to HK$25,000  for cats aged 1-11 years that have not previously been diagnosed with FIP. This additional coverage allows you to claim 70% of the costs for the prescription medication GS-441524. Since FIP is an excluded condition under the policy, this additional coverage does not include other medical expenses (such as consultation fees, laboratory tests, and hospitalization), and claims can only be made once in a lifetime. For more details, please refer to policy documents.
